CBD For Newbies

Nowadays, the CBD market is taking off at an incredible rate. With CBD products everywhere, from your local grocery stores to posh boutiques on the high street and endless online stores of any calibre, it sparks the curiosity of those who never encountered these products before.

Let’s cover some of the basic information about CBD and THC, what are the differences between a CBD oil and hemp seed oil and how to use them.

THC and CBD: what is the difference?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-intoxicating compound found in cannabis plants, known for its various health benefits. More and more research is being done proving its therapeutic potential in treating insomnia, pain, fatigue, many mental health problems, and so on. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is also the most commonly occurring cannabinoid in a cannabis plant. Known for its psychoactive effects, it is responsible for euphoria when using marijuana or cannabis for recreational or medical purposes.

THC and CBD are both cannabinoids. Each of them has unique therapeutic effects, which are successfully used for various medical and therapeutic purposes.

THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) has psychoactive properties; it provides euphoria or other unwanted or harmful effects. For this reason, it is used for limited medical purposes, such as pain relief.

However, CBD may interact with the human endocannabinoid system in a variety of symptoms. And it provides many of the same benefits as its THC counterpart but without any adverse or conscious changing effects.

CBD is not psychoactive and provides beneficial medical effects. What’s important is that it doesn’t have harmful side effects. This fact makes it a more desirable and legitimate option than traditional or medical marijuana, but only if it contains less than 0.2% THC.

CBD can be obtained from two plants, hemp, and marijuana. Some sources claim that CBD derived from marijuana is more “powerful” than cannabis. However, in most countries, legislation restricts marijuana, and so CBD from marijuana may simply be illegal. It is why the vast majority of CBD is made from industrial cannabis because it contains much lower levels of psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol THC than marijuana.

Hemp Oil and CBD Oil: what is the difference?

You can find hemp oil and CBD oil in the same Cannabis Sativa plant family, but they are derived from different parts of the plant.

Hemp oil is made from hemp seeds and contains chemical compounds that are essential for the body and skin, such as vitamin E, omega-3 and 6, and protein. Refined hempseed oil is clear and colourless, and has a mild flavour. Industrial hempseed oil is used in cosmetics, lubricants, paints, fuel, inks, and plastics.

CBD oil comes from the stalks, flowers and leaves of the Cannabis plant. Useful hemp parts are renovated into granules and get exposed to solvents such as CO2 or ethanol. Such strategies help to extract CBD oil without toxins and other chemicals.

CBD and hemp oils have a small intoxication risk because they originate from food-grain strains of hemp. Therefore you should test the products and pay close attention to the label before buying it. Hemp oil is often labelled as Cannabis Sativa Seed oil. CBD oil will be marked as cannabidiol, full- or broad-spectrum CBD oil, or PCR (phytocannabinoid-rich).

How to use CBD oil?

When it comes to hemp, a traditional way of smoking marijuana is one of the first things that come to mind. However, there are more opportunities today than ever before to enjoy the benefits of CBD oil without the stereotypical uses and without the intoxication.

There are various forms of CBD reception that can meet your needs. One of the most universal forms is CBD oil that can be useful in a wide range of ailments. CBD oil is the most popular form of CBD available at the moment. It can be taken in or used locally, depending on your needs.

In addition to oil, there are other release forms like capsules, balms, tinctures, edibles, lozenges, aromatherapy CBD candles, shampoos, and the list goes on.
